Atrocities are cruel act or highly unpleasant which is very destructive to our society.
Atrocities are cruel act or highly unpleasant which is very destructive to our society.
When we think of "equality" it seems very easy and simple that we should not differentiate our sc/st brothers and sisters but when we open our eye and look the real view we find ourselves doing same in some time in our life. We want equality in our society but not ready to face it. Article 17 provides Abolition of Untouchability means we shouldn't hert any dalit and tribal people because they belong to sc/st community.
We call ourself modern but still in some place dalits were reported humiliated and harassed by upper castes. we get free from foreign country but we unable to abolish untouchability as the normal provisions of existing laws like Protection of civil right act and Indian penal code are also unable to protect our sc/st brothers from some superior unstable mind.
Parliament passed Scheduled caste and Scheduled Tribe Act (Prevention of Atrocities) 1989 to give special protection and rights to sc/st victims and sets up court for fast completion of cases. This Act come under amending rule and enhancing compensation on June 2014 and passed in 2015 to prevent dalits from social discrimination and personal atrocities.
Now a day we have seen new caste system (General and Reserved) which replace old caste system (Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaisyas and Sudras) in our society. These differences continue growing day by day leading to alarming danger to our unity and diversity, and the only way to get rid of these problem is the knowledge and awareness among the people.
